Let's visit the beautiful Aberdeen Falls

Aberdeen Falls is the 18th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka's tallest waterfall list. Belongs to the Nuwara Eliya district. In fact, this waterfall is so beautiful. If you are on the list of most beautiful waterfalls in Sri Lanka, then you must visit this waterfall because this fall is so beautiful.

https://www.facebook.com/hwheshan/

The waterfall is named after the Scottish Aberdeen. Aberdeen is a name that have planted in a tea estate around this fall. So, it is named after the town of Aberdeen in Scotland, where the white man who owned the property lived. So, he says that the name of this waterfall is also named after it.

The Aberdeen Falls was created from the Kehelgamu Oya, a tributary of the Kelani River. So, if you are going to the waterfall then you have to cross the Kalugala Junction at Kitulgala on Hatton Road, Colombo. There is a road leading to this waterfall after passing Kalugala. About 15 km from there you will find the entrance to Kalaweldeniya. So, there is another road leading to this waterfall. Aberdeen Falls is located in the Ambagamuwa Divisional Secretariat.

There is also a faculty to see the beauty of the falls near Komahari Falls. From there you can see the falls. No matter how much you wait, you won't get tired. This is such a beautiful waterfall. So, one who goes down to the waterfall can have a stunning view, If you can see the waterfall from there, it's pretty strange.

On one side of the waterfall there is a cave that has been eroded by natural limestone. You can see the waterfall in a different way. But, as with all the waterfalls in Sri Lanka, bathing here is not a good idea. It is rumored that there is ample evidence of dead people who bathe. So, you guys have to take care of yourself.

Don't forget to take a look at the beautiful Aberdeen Falls if you are looking at Sri Pada or Hatton Colombo.

THANK YOU

Ambuluwawa, for an Adventure

Ambuluwawa is a unique tourist destination located in the Kandy district. If you are traveling through Gampola to Nuwara Eliya or Hatton, Nawalapitiya, you can visit Ambuluwawa, Gampola. This is a white wonderland located in a staircase visible to everyone in Gampola.

https://www.facebook.com/harshana.piyasinghe.5

To reach this place, you have to follow the Gampola Hemmathagama road. If you are traveling by bus, you will reach the main entrance to Ambuluwawa, about 5 km away along the Gampola-Hemmatagama road. From there you have to walk for about 2 km to the top of the mountain. If you are traveling in your own vehicle, you can drive to the top of the mountain. You have to buy a ticket to go to the top of the mountain.

Ambuluwawa is a beautiful ecosystem with an area of 927 acres. It has a high biodiversity with a large number of animals and plants. There are many invertebrate animals here. It is said that there are many species of insects and beetles and 20 species of butterflies. There are about 43 species of reptiles, 23 of which are endemic to our country. There are 24 species of snakes in the ecosystem, from small canoe to large snake. There are about 90 species of birds.

The eastern side of the mountain consists of a rock and the other side is a forest ecosystem. The mountain top is 3567 feet above sea level. Development of the mountain began in 1997 and in 2002 it became the world's best developed mountain. It was opened to the public on September 18, 2007. The Agrarian Stupa at the top of the hill is considered to be a religious place. This Stupa which is shaped like a paddy field is representing the farming community. The tower is 400 feet in height. There is a Buddha statue inside the temple.

Climbing to the top of this structure is a very exciting experience. You can go up and down in the middle of the lake, but it does not give you the excitement of going around the lake. The maximum of the horror is when you climb the tower. The road with the surrounding stairs is much shorter, and on crowded days it is very difficult to switch between those who go up and down. In some places there are places like caves. There is a lot of air at the top of this tower and the horror is high. If you are afraid of high places, don't skip here.

The view from the top of the staircase is spectacular. Gampola is in full view and Pussellawa Kothmale in the other side. This mountain range also includes PiduruthalagalaNuckles, Hunnasgiri, Peacock hill, Sapt Kanye, Namunukula. The areas like Kadugannawa, Balana and Nelligala can be clearly seen here.

If you are traveling through Gampola we urge you to come and see this Ambuluwawa Seya and discover the adventure here. We also ask you not to do anything that will destroy this ecosystem for future generations.

And please don’t pollute the environment.

Let's cross the beautiful Namunukula Mountain

So, in this article we are going to tell you another beautiful mountain that is suitable for both hiking and camping in Sri Lanka. It is the Namunukula mountain. This is the highest mountain in the Uva Province. If you have ever traveled on the Badulla Passara road there is no reason not to see this mountain. It is said that the mountain was named as Namunukula, with the meaning of nine peaks. Namunukula is one of the 10 highest mountain ranges in Sri Lanka. This peak is 2036 meters above sea level.

As I said before, this is a great mountain for hiking and camping. If you are going to cross this mountain, you must first come to Badulla. There are two main roads leading to this mountain range from Badulla. One is the road through Nirmalai in Spring Valley. The other way is the Diyanagala road via Glen Alpin. You'll have to travel about 15 kilo meters from Badulla to get to the hill stations on both these roads. Both ways are beautiful. I am passing many beautiful tea estates.

If you are traveling along Spring Valley, Memale and Nallamalai, then you can take a bus to Nallamalai. By the time you pass the devalaya you have already crossed over half of the Namunukula range. Don't forget to pay homage to the temple. You can reach the top of the mountain by an hour's drive through the turpentine treehouse near the temple

The other route to the mountain is the 3-mile post in Badulla Passara road. You can reach Diyanagala village by about an hour's journey. The paths through the jungle are both difficult and tedious. But when you go up, the cold doesn't make you tired.

Since the Namunukula mountain is considered to be the site where the ancient Indika deity lived, I request you to follow this religion before you climb this mountain. Because the villagers believe that this mountain has some power. We therefore urge people not to drink alcohol and to behave decently.

The top of the ridge is truly beautiful. Most of the time the mountain is covered with fog. From this mountain you can visit the lowlands of the Southern, Eastern and Uva Central provinces of Sri Lanka. The view from the top of the mountain is really strange. Also, the camping area is very favorable as it offers a lot of spacious views on the top of the mountain. There is also a water table on the top of the mountain. If you are climbing this mountain, it is not necessary to carry water.

At the top of the mountain is a beautiful ecosystem of flowers. So, there is nothing wrong with going there and camping. Never hurt its beautiful surroundings. The sunrise from here is absolutely beautiful. In the morning and at night the storms are very cold. So be prepared for it. At the top of the mountain is a large area of Piduruthalagala , Narangala , Knuckles and the central hills.

I have a small request from you all, please don’t pollute the area. If you brought something don’t leave it, take it home and put it into a dustbin. Enjoy the view, take photos do whatever you want but don’t pollute the environment. It’s our responsibility to keep our world clean.

Don’t forget to visit this place if you are travelling in Badulla-Passara road.

Thank you.

The beauty of Bomburu Falls

Bomburu Ella or Perawella Ella is located in the Uva Paranagama Divisional Secretariat Division close to the Badulla - Nuwara Eliya district boundary. This waterfall is the widest waterfall in Sri Lanka. This beautiful Bomburu Falls is located in the Seetha Eliya Kandapola Forest Reserve in the village of Perawella, about 15 km from Welimada.

https://www.facebook.com/ceylondiaries/

The Dulgala River, another tributary of the Mahaweli River, is formed by falling into four parts. The height of the falls is about 50 meters and the width are only 20 meters. Sources indicate that the lower part of the falls is known as Uma Oya.

If you are coming here from Kandy, you should come to Welimada via Nuwara Eliya and those coming to Colombo should come to Bandarawela and then to Welimada. From Welimada town, there is a bus to Bomburu Falls across the Uduwaha. If you are coming in your own vehicle, you will have to follow the foot path to Bomburu Ella from Welimada to Uva Paranagama Road, Ambagasdowa Junction, Himbiliyagahamadiththa Mudanawa Junction, about 11 km. If you go to this waterfall, ask the villagers for details. If you go for 2 km along the footpath you will find this waterfall. The area is populated with beautiful fields and greenery. Get ready for this trip as my leeches are plentiful.

This biodiversity hotspot also served as a hunting ground in the British Era. The sound of the falls is large and the dew rises about 30 meters. Below the falls, there is also a place for you to bath. The falls are even more beautiful as the fog flows over the Bombar Falls. Really, no matter how much you look at this waterfall. The waterfall is spectacular.

It is said that a legend relating to an elephant of King Rajasinghe II was attached to this village. However, this waterfall is still unknown to many tourists in Sri Lanka. Now we hear that many people are going to visit this bombshell and the beautiful environment is being destroyed. So, go visit this beautiful waterfall. But never forget the beautiful surroundings.

I have a small request from you all, please don’t pollute the area. If you brought something don’t leave it, take it home and put it into a dustbin. Enjoy the view, take photos do whatever you want but don’t pollute the environment. It’s our responsibility to keep our world clean.

Don’t forget to visit this place if you are travelling Badulla-Nuwara Eliya.

Thank you.

From Lipton Seat, let's take a look at the beauty of 5 provinces in Sri Lanka

Lipton Seat is another tourist attraction located in the Badulla district. The specialty of this is that you can visit all 5 provinces of Sri Lanka simultaneously. This is indeed a mountain top. Lipton Seat is a narrow ridge that joins three mountain valleys.

There are two routes if you want to go to Lipton Seat. The first and most popular route is the road to Haputale and passes through the Dambetenna tea estate. You can reach this place by traveling about 12 km from Haputale. The other way to get there is through Bandarawela Poonagala Nayabedda. In fact, both roads are extremely scenic. It is often covered with mist in the morning.

This place is also important because it is a testimony to the ancient Sri Lankan tea history. Thomas Lipton is the founder of the Dambetenna Tea Estate. He is said to have started this estate in the late 19th century. The Dambetenna Estate has 925 acres. The Dambetenna tea factory is also known as the largest tea factory in Sri Lanka. The best black tea in the world was produced in this Dambetenna estate. Today, Lipton is the name of the tea,  produced at this estate.

Lipton Seat is where Thomas Lipton rested. There is a statue of him today. He even had parties with his friends at this time. It is also said that he spent time with young girls.

This spot is visible in the Southern province of Devinuwara and Kirinda Lighthouses as well as in the Lighthouse in Trincomalee. Also seen in the Sabaragamuwa Province are the Samanala Mountains and Eheliyagoda, the Eastern and the Nuwara Eliya regions of the Central Province. But remember that there is nothing to see here on rainy foggy days. Also, staying here on rainy days is dangerous because of lightning. However, if you can get there at 12 noon on sunny days, you can see a spectacular view from here.

There is also a place called Catherine Seat, just a few kilometers away from this place. It is also known as the place where Lipton's wife rested. If you're going to Lipton Seat don't forget to visit Catherine Seat as well.

I have a small request from you all, please don’t pollute the area. If you brought something don’t leave it, take it home and put it into a dustbin. Enjoy the view, take photos do whatever you want but don’t pollute the environment. It’s our responsibility to keep our world clean.

Knuckles Mountains is another valuable ecosystem in Sri Lanka. So, there are plenty of places to visit in Knuckles Mountain. Among them are the historic village of Meemure, the Riverston or Pitawala Patana and the camp of Dothalugala. Yahangala is another place which became popular very recently. So, in addition to these places, the Mini-known tourist attraction is Deanston's Mini World.

The Knuckles Range has two major worlds. One is the end of Pitawala Patana. The other is the Deanston Mini world we are talking about today

This is located in Hunnasgiriya-Meemure road. So, if you ever visit Meemura, you can park your vehicle on the road and visit this mini world. About a kilometer from the trail, you can reach the end of the mini world. It is about 7 km from Hunnasgiriya town. It's not a big problem to travel because the tea estates around the road are beautiful. Two other Knuckles mountain peaks, the Nawanagala mountain and the Medamahanuwara hill  are also visible on the road. So, you won’t feel tired.

So, at about 7 km you will find the Knuckles Conservation Center. From here you have to get a permit to go to see this deanston worldview. After about one kilometer into the forest, you will see the end of the world. While passing through the forest, there is a small lake and resting place. It has a beautiful and stunning.

From the end of the world you can clearly see Udadumbara town, Kalugala, Talagune, Madugalla, Kandy-Mahiyangana road, Mahiyanganaya and Girandurukotte. If you fall down a very steep slope, you will never be able to recover. Therefore, it is important to think about your safety. Also, there are some tanks like Yahangala and Soreborea tanks. This is a very nice scene. I’m pretty sure you will enjoy the view.

So, if you are traveling to Meemura, don't forget to visit the Deanston Mini world. You should get your ticket from the Knuckles Conservation Center and visit our camp at Dothalugala. The place is still obscure and the environment is not polluted yet

I have a small request from you all, please don’t pollute the area. If you brought something don’t leave it, take it home and put it into a dustbin. Enjoy the view, take photos do whatever you want but don’t pollute the environment. It’s our responsibility to keep our world clean.
